Happy Wednesday!
It’s been 293 days since Joe Biden has publicly fallen…
…which officially makes him more sturdy than a Baltimore bridge.
However, I don’t want to downplay what a huge achievement this is for the President. On event-intense days like today, it would be easy for even the strongest of men to wobble like Hillary at a 9/11 memorial.
While he’s hiding behind the Oval Office curtains today, he has been spotted out and about a few times this week.
Possibly embarassed by all the media coverage surrounding his newer and safer Hoka sneakers, when going for a casual look Biden resorted back to his old classics: the way-too-big death-defying sketchers:
The rest of the time Biden was rocking a less casual look, and was spotted wearing his behemothly rubberized pair of dress shoes that we reported on last week:
These bad boys even kept him from slip-sliding in the rain!
As this astute newsletter publication reported in last week’s edition, we strongly believe that these high-support monstrosities are the Cole Haan Men's ZERØGRAND Remastered Wingtip Oxfords.
We posted an inquiry on the website hoping that a sole-savvy intern might make a positive ID and confirm our reporting. However, at the time of this publication, we are still waiting for a response from an inside source at Cole Haan.
So, it’s time we take this investigation up a notch.
Through years of research and classes in anthropology, we suspect that the person most likely to have bought shoes for a “working” octogenarian would be his wife.
Based on that assumption, our next approach was to attempt to ask the lady herself, Dr. Jill Biden, if she was responsible for buying these shoes, and whether or not they are indeed Cole Haans.
We reached out to Dr. Jill via Twitter:
We shall see if she responds in a timely matter, but while we wait, let’s check out some more pictures from the week.
See you next week!

"Mrs. Biden, if I may follow up, are you looking for a podcast co-host?"
Awesome Kate 👍🏻👍🏻🤣😂
I knew it was going to be a good newsletter when you started off with a great zinger.
